History

Thunderbird Automotive started back in 1977 as a Texaco service station located on 103rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road. In 1983 the business moved to a new 12-bay facility located at 8736 W. Thunderbird Road. Tom and Gary purchased Thunderbird Automotive in November 1986 and worked at this same location for 10 years, afterwhich they built their current modern, 12-bay facility at 8768 W. Thunderbird Road.

In July, 2000 Tom and Gary purchased property in Surprise, Arizona per the request of many of their customers whom had relocated to Sun City West, Sun City and Surprise. They opened their newest 6 bay modern repair facility in the fall of 2004.
